The quality on this bootleg is pretty GREAT. The first song starts a bit crappy, but couple minutes in taper must have changed mic positions because sound is great for the rest of the show.

I was at this show! Eddy Money was actually on the main bill originally. Thanks for posting!

I was at their show the night before in Portland at the Jantzen Beach Ice Arena. Three or four rows of GA bleacher seats and they simply threw plywood on the rink for the SRO crowd. Hotter than hell and so was the band. The stage was only waist high and we stood right in front of the band before we couldn’t take the heat and volume any longer. Best show of my life! RIP Eddie (Van Halen, of course. Not that the late Mr. Money was a bad act that night either.). The venue later became a Toys R Us…
I was at this show. I think I was 15 at the time and had never heard of Van Halen, my friend was a fan and insisted I go. At the time Jimmy Page was the guitar hero and being a novice guitar player I wanted to see what all the hype was about, well needless to say it was a huge moment in my life and I was never the same again! I have goosebumps right now just thinking about it. RIP Ed and thank you for everything
Thank you very much for sharing, I learned a lot from your article. Very cool. Thanks.
